If you're going to run, run with Thorobreds. Your dad was definitely one. He knew how to value people and their contributions to education and Forest Hills. I recall two times with the best of memories and feelings. I made a video about teaching writing and he came to watch it. He sat in the back of the room and gave me a thumbs up at the conclusion. Left without a word. Another time there were rumblings about Reading Recovery going by the way side. I was asked to speak for the effort to the school board. Your dad was there, of course. He shook my hand afterwards. I seriously miss his big heart and love of the educational cause. Dr. Jill Dillard

Thank you so much Dr. Dillard for sharing. He was such a big believer in the power of the handshake. This brought back a lot of great memories.
